A Little Bit About Mountainside Magnets

Hi! I'm Alaina, the person behind Mountainside Magnets, and I'm so glad you're here.

Before Mountainside Magnets, I spent several years building my photography business. Photography has always been something I’ve loved because of the way a single image can hold onto a moment, a person, or a memory that you never want to forget.

That love for photography eventually led me to the idea behind Mountainside Magnets — taking the photos and memories that mean the most to you and turning them into something you can actually see and enjoy every day.

From Photography to Magnets

As a photographer, I've seen firsthand how meaningful photographs can be. They aren't just pictures. They're memories of people you love, places you've been, milestones you've celebrated, and moments you wish you could hold onto forever.

I wanted to create something that could bring those memories off your phone and into your everyday life.

That's where Mountainside Magnets began.

What started as an idea has grown into custom photo magnets, pet magnets, photo puzzles, keychains, themed collections, and more. I'm excited to keep creating new products and finding fun ways to turn your favorite moments into something you can enjoy for years to come.

Why "Mountainside"?

The name Mountainside Magnets has a meaning that goes a little deeper than just my love for the mountains.

Throughout the Bible, mountains and hillsides are places where some incredibly important moments took place. Jesus often went up into the mountainside to pray, teach, and spend time with His Father. Some of His most memorable moments with His disciples and followers happened on or around the mountains.

That idea really stuck with me.

A mountainside can be a place to slow down, get away from the noise, reflect, and remember what matters most. I wanted Mountainside Magnets to carry some of that same feeling — a reminder to appreciate the people, places, and moments that matter.

And, of course, being surrounded by the mountains here in Montana made the name feel even more fitting.

More Than Just a Magnet

To me, these aren't just pieces of paper with a magnet on the back.

They're the picture from your favorite trip.

The goofy photo of your dog.

The family picture hanging on your fridge.

A favorite person you want to keep close.

A little reminder of a day you wish you could relive.

Your camera roll is full of moments, but sometimes the best ones deserve to be somewhere you can actually see them.
